Amanda Buttenshaw was born in Australia but found her heart in Paris, where she became a wife, mother, and fascinated with clothing’s power to shape our moods and therefore influence our lives. Now based in London, she blends the effortless chic of Paris with the bold individuality of her new home.

Realising the fashion industry’s impact upon the environment, Amanda felt that if she were to pursue her childhood dream to make clothing, she had the responsibility of doing so as ethically as possible. 

For several years, she turned her childrens’ nap times into lessons in design, fashion history, garment construction and sustainability. This cobbled-together education, combined with her background in the creative industries, led to Bonkers Bon Coeur—a playful, conscious label celebrating whimsy, individuality, and responsibility, crafted with heart.
