About Bonkers Bon Coeur
Bonkers Bon Coeur is a made-to-order sustainable womenswear brand founded in 2025 by Amanda Buttenshaw (me!).
Influenced by two cities I’ve been lucky to call home — London and Paris — Bonkers Bon Coeur merges Parisian effortless chic with London’s playful and bold eccentricity.
Designs are inspired by the silhouettes of the 1960s merged with the modern tastes of today. From street style to vintage films, I draw endless inspiration from the past and present of these two iconic and much loved cities.
Every Bonkers Bon Coeur piece is carefully brought to life by a talented team in an award-winning, sustainability-focused workshop in London.
The Mission
To create ethically crafted, lasting pieces for the wholehearted, modern woman who wants to not just look good in what she wears, but feel good in knowing that it didn’t have to harm people or the planet to look so dang hot.
The Name
In English, "bonkers" means a bit crazy, while the French "bon coeur" translates to "good heart." To me, these qualities are often two sides of the same coin.
Mad Hatter: Am I going mad?
Alice: Yes, you're mad, bonkers, off the top of your head...but... I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
Sustainability
Knowing that the world doesn’t need more clothes, I’ve realised that in pursuing Bonkers Bon Coeur I have the obligation to do so as responsibly as I can. Read more here.
